Eight-hour epochs
Staking
Stake FNDY, receive sFNDY, and collect variable token rewards.

How to stake
- Open Staking and enter the FNDY amount.
- Approve FNDY if requested, then confirm Stake.
- Your staking receipt is sFNDY. Its balance can grow as rewards are distributed.
What happens every eight hours?
An epoch is an eight-hour period, measured from the protocol’s activation. When it ends, a transaction updates staking and distributes any queued reward. The next reward is calculated for a later update.
For the configured testnet deployment, the updater sends these transactions automatically, and a backup can take over after a delay. A replacement core needs its updater configured separately. Staking or unstaking can also process a due epoch. The blockchain still needs a transaction, so confirmation can be later than the countdown reaching zero.
A completed epoch does not always mean a bigger balance. Rewards depend on the token price, treasury backing, available reserves and valid price data. A new stake does not receive a reward merely because eight hours passed.
How to unstake
Choose Unstake, enter your sFNDY amount and complete any approval and transaction requested. Unstaking returns FNDY to your wallet. It does not sell FNDY for USDG.
More about rewards and the updater
The reward formula considers the market price relative to treasury backing per token. New issuance can be zero. A maximum issuance rate is a limit for the whole protocol, not a promised return for each staker.
A rebase distributes a reward that was queued earlier. Newly minted rewards are queued for the next update, so one successful transaction can prepare rewards without immediately increasing your balance.
Price updates and staking epochs are separate jobs. The configured price updater targets hourly observations; staking targets the contract’s eight-hour deadlines. The backup uses a separate gas wallet and a grace period. Both still depend on hosting, RPC access and enough test ETH.
The reference warmup is zero epochs. Your selected deployment’s actual warmup and staking balance are shown in the app.
